Introduction to Pasta

Join us at this wonderful beginner’s class and learn how to make great pasta from scratch every time.
What you will learn:
- We will cover the differences between flour used for pasta making and other flours
- Step by step tuition to enable you to make an wonderfully silky egg pasta dough by hand using a simple recipe, including kneading, resting, shaping and drying your pasta.
- Simple instruction on how to shape your dough by machine
- Step by step tuition on making a super fresh basil pesto by hand using a pestle & mortar (or similar pasta sauce)
Your class will begin with a welcome tea or coffee, glass of wine or beer in the cookery school’s cafe, where you will have a chance to meet your fellow students and tutor. Your tutor will then talk you through the class menu and what you can expect before you are assigned a workspace in our fully equipped kitchen. The step-by-step tuition is fun and easy to follow and the cookery school team will be available to assist you throughout the class.
There’ll be time at the end of the session for everyone to sit down together and tuck into our food with a glass of wine specially chosen to complement the menu.
